Who are Dignity?
The Age Co Funeral Plan is provided by Advance Planning Limited, a subsidiary of Dignity plc. In this policy, “Dignity/we/our/us” refers to the Dignity Group of companies and subsidiaries of Dignity Plc, registered in England at our registered office at Dignity Plc, 4 King Edwards Court, King Edwards Square, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, B73 6AP.
What information do Dignity collect?
We collect personally identifiable information about you such as your full name, address, email address, and bank account or payment card details. If you purchase a service online, we will collect additional information such as your IP address and any session details. We will only collect this information if it is necessary for the purposes outlined below.
Due to the sensitive nature of our services, Dignity will on rare occasions process data confidentially where a funeral plan has been purchased for another individual.
How do Dignity use your information?
Services
Dignity will process your data on the requirement that it is necessary to fulfil our contract with you when you enquire or purchase a service from us. If you enquire about one of our services, we will use this information to provide you with further details by either post or email. To do this we will share your information with our printing agencies. If you purchase one of our services, we will use the information you have provided to administer your plan. If required, this involves sharing your information with our payment processors and legal advisors.
We will retain your information for the duration of our relationship with you and for as long as we are required to fulfil our legal obligations. We review these retention periods on a regular basis to ensure we do not store unnecessary personal information.

Profiling
Dignity creates a profile of your interests and preferences so that we can contact you with information most relevant to you. We may also use your personal information to detect and reduce fraud and credit risk.
Service Providers
Dignity employs third-party service providers and contractors to carry out its day to day activities. All of our service providers are carefully considered to ensure they handle your information with care and only for the purposes intended. It may be necessary for Dignity to share some or all your information with these providers as necessary. Dignity will always minimise the access and ensure data is securely destroyed when it is no longer required by our third party providers.
Who do Dignity share your information with?
Dignity will share your information with the Age UK Network for the below purposes. Other than as explained in this policy, we will not transfer, disclose, sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties other than our subsidiaries, parent company, group companies or potential purchasers of our business without your permission, unless we are required to do so by law.
How will the Age UK Network use your information
AgeCo Limited, trading as Age Co, would like to use your personal information for marketing and research purposes and share it with other companies and/or charities within the Age UK Network. When you provide your information, you will be given the option to select your choices as to whether or not you wish to receive information from the Age UK Network by email, text, phone or post. The Age UK Network includes the charity Age UK, its trading subsidiaries and its National Partners (Age Cymru, Age Scotland and Age NI). The Age UK Network will never sell your data and promises to keep it safe and secure. AgeCo Limited will not share any of the personal information with companies beyond the Age UK Network, unless the information is needed to help prevent fraud or they are required do to so by law.
Age UK may pass your information to their third party service providers, suppliers, agents, subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on their behalf (for example to send you mailings). However, when they use these third parties, they disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the services and they have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and prevents them from using it for their own direct marketing purposes. Please be reassured that Age UK will not release your information to third parties for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested Age UK to do so, or they are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.
